Admin System How-To's
Here you'll find instructions on how to do many of the things a division coordinator needs to do.
Add a coach/assistant coach/manager to a team.
Add a player to a team.
Get player evaluations.
Notify coach(es) of system login and password.
Send coach(es) their team list.
To create a team do the following:
- Login to the SYSA admin system (Click here to login).
- Click on Team Administration.
- Select the appropriate division and Age Group. A list of the existing teams will be displayed.
- Click on the Add link at the right end of the list titles line. This will display a team profile page. Only a few fields need to be filled in.
- Fill in the Division and Age Group fields.
- Fill in the team name field. The usual format of this for house teams is age group, gender, team number. For example, "U14G#04" for U14 girls team #4.
- If there is a coach/assistant coach/manager for the team and they're already in the system then add them using the drop down menus.
- Do NOT check the box at the bottom which says Show Team List on 'Team Contacts' page?.
- When you're satisfied then click on the Post button.
To create a staff profile do the following:
- Login to the SYSA admin system (Click here to login).
- Click on Coach Administration.
- Check to see if the person already has a profile.
- You can fill in part of the person's name then click Search, or you can just click Search and scroll through the entire list to see if he/she is there.
- If a profile for the person is found you're done!
- Click your browser's Back button to get to the previous Search page.
- Assuming no profile exists click on the Add button to continue on and add a profile.
- Fill in the required fields which are highlighted with red stars.
- If you don't know the postal code use a dummy one of the correct format (e.g. v0n 3g0).
- If you don't know if the person has any coach training you can leave the Coach Level field as "Unassigned".
- The Team Level field should be House or the appropriate level if it is a travel team.
- Fill in the Staff Login field with person's user id. The format for staff user ids is: the first letter of their first name followed by their last name (e.g. Pat Gilbert's would be pgilbert).
- Do not fill in the Staff Password field, instead click the Generate Random Password check box next to it. This will refresh the page and fill in the password field for you.
- When you're satisfied with the person's information click on the Post button.
If you need to correct a staff profile you can search for it and then edit it.
To add a coach/assistant coach/manager to a team do the following:
Before a coach/asistant coach/manager can be added to a team they must have a coach profile in the system.
- Login to the SYSA admin system (Click here to login).
- Click on the Team Administration link.
- Select the appropriate Division.
- Select the appropriate Age Group. This will display a list of teams.
- Click the Edit link for the team you wish to add the person to.
- Scroll down to the Coach/Assist Coach/Manager field and select the person from the drop down menu.
- When you're satisfied click the Post button.
To add a player to a team do the following:
